Do you need milk or yogurt for a smoothie?
You don’t have to use milk or yogurt in a smoothie, but they can definitely add some creaminess and richness if you’re into that texture. If you prefer a dairy-free or lighter option, you can swap in things like almond milk, coconut milk or oat milk. You can also use plant-based yogurts like coconut or almond yogurt if you’re looking for that creamy, tangy boost without the dairy. If you’re not a fan of dairy or don’t have it on hand, smoothies can still be delicious and smooth with just fruit, veggies, ice or even water! Other options for a thicker texture include adding a banana, avocado, or even a handful of oats or chia seeds.
What fruit mixes well with strawberries?
Strawberries are super versatile and mix well with a bunch of different fruits! Bananas are a classic combo with its creaminess perfectly balancing the tartness of strawberries, making for a smooth, sweet blend. Blueberries and strawberries create a fruity explosion as they’re both sweet and tangy. The tropical sweetness of mango adds a rich, smooth texture that pairs perfectly with the freshness of strawberries, while pineapple is a tangy, tropical twist!
