No-fuss vegetarian canapes for the festive season

With such good quality options available in the supermarket, it’s a no-brainer to ensure you have store-bought vegetarian mini quiches stashed in your freezer ready for your vegetarian (and meat loving) guests.

You’ll find a number of different flavours available in the supermarket: caramelised onion and cheese, and a spinach and feta variety too. All you need to do is bake them following packet directions then glam them up with a few fresh additions – easy!

Try topping with fresh herbs, chutneys, antipasto vegetables such as olives and semi-dried tomatoes, finely grated parmesan or simply a grind or two of cracked pepper for that ‘home-baked’ look (just don’t forget to hide the packaging!).

Method

Prepare the Patties Vegetarian Quiches Caramelised Onion & Cheddar Cheese following the packet directions and remove from oven.

Allow to cool for 5 minutes.

On each of the heated quiches, place one leaf of basil, a slice of bocconcini, and top with a piece of cherry tomato. Serve.
