It feels like coming home.

Nestled in the stylish hub of Balmain village, Tara’s second bricks and mortar venture opened its doors a mere 3 weeks ago but stepping inside feels like coming home.

One of TV’s most recognised faces, we fell in love with Tara on our screens years ago as she decorated and DIY’d her way through renovation, decorating and lifestyle shows, most recently on Better Homes and Gardens as resident DIY decorating expert.

HB lovers will have toured her River House with us when Tara welcomed us into its calming spaces on the banks of Sydney’s northern bushlands.

We’ve seen Tara create simple and stylish projects for the home that add colour and comfort to make it your own.

This takes everything to the next level as you immerse yourself in Tara’s world – all of which you can take home with you!

An interior designer’s dream and her second store to open in Sydney, following the launch of her Wahroonga store three years ago, here Tara’s signature decorating style comes into its own and we love it all.

Floor-to-ceiling shelves are filled with homewares – all carefully selected with Tara’s discerning eye. Handmade ceramics, beautiful quality linens from Walter G in block-printed dusty pinks, slate greys and easy denim blues mingle with Himalayan goat skin throws and massive vintage timber bowls that have seen a thousand days.

There’s a vignette for every room in the house – including the kitchen sink – Barr & Co soaps and natural Redecker fibre brushes line shelves alongside myriad objects both useful and beautiful.

“I want everyone to feel welcome here and to be able to imagine the products in their own home,” says Tara.

It’s not a stretch to do so. Before you know it your arms will be full and that very piece of furniture you’ve been searching for high and low is standing in front of you.
