Forget about digging into your average pudding on Christmas Day. It’s all about sipping on Christmas gin, and Four Pillars is back this year to deliver that extra festive cheer.

To create the Yuletide tipple, Four Pillars founder and distiller Cameron Mackenzie distils his mother Wilma’s 1968 pudding recipe and adds juniper, cinnamon, star anise, coriander and angelica. For an added layer of richness and complexity, it’s blended with aged gin, Rutherglen Classic Muscat and Four Pillar’s own muscat, which has been stored in barrels which previously aged Pedro Ximenez.

The best way to drink it? Simply sip it straight over ice; mix with ginger ale; or make a cracking Martinez.

This year Melbourne-born and Berlin-based artist Lucy Dyson’s artwork adorns the label, capturing the warm tones of a traditional Christmas day in a surreal landscape.

If that wasn’t enough to get you excited about the festive season, Four Pillars is also bringing back their Christmas Gin Pudding ($30) and the Yuletide tea towel ($30). And this year, there will be a sour cherry pickle for for the first time.

Four Pillars Australian Christmas Gin is $105 per bottle and will be available from October 25 until sold out. Head to the Four Pillars website to purchase.
