Dog cookie recipe
Ingredients
- ½ cup wheat flour
- ½ cup coconut flour
- 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup blueberries (optional, halved)
Method
- Combine flour into mixing bowl
- Add in coconut oil
- Add in eggs
- Combine blueberries
- Roll dough into fist sized balls before rolling dough out onto floured surface
- Cut out cookie dough with doggie cookie cutters
- Place on a baking paper lined oven tray
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
Tips:
- Coconut flour is highly absorbent and can be difficult to work with and roll out, so use plenty of flour on your working surface and rolling pin.
- For grain-free pets, you can use coconut flour only, however you will need to increase the liquids used and add slowly to get the desirable consistency.
- Reduce your baking time slightly to create soft doughy cookies, or lengthen baking time for a crunchier treat.
