Planning a family holiday that is exciting enough to keep the kids entertained but cultured enough for the adults can be a tough job. For those who were avid travelers before they had children, finding a holiday destination that suits all family members might be easy for you. However, if you haven’t travelled a lot and are looking for some suggestions of family holiday destinations overseas that are suitable for parents, babies, toddlers, kids and teens, then we have you covered.
According to data analysed by comparison website Finder, the top ten overseas holiday destinations for Australians (in general) at the moment are New Zealand, Indonesia, USA, the UK, Thailand, China, Singapore, Fiji, japan and India. Although all destinations are beautiful, not all are great when traveling with a family.
Tips for booking the best family holiday you’ve ever had
Angus Kidman, Travel Expert at Finder says Aussies aren’t limited when it comes to family travel destinations. “If you’re considering booking a family vacation but don’t want to face a flock of fellow Aussie tourists, head off the beaten track instead.”
“Before you book, make sure you’re comparing deals online so you know you’re getting the best price available. Some travel agencies will even price match so it pays to do your research before you sign on the dotted line,” says Angus.
“Many budget airlines hold regular sales so make sure you sign up to their newsletter if you want to be kept in the loop.”
